Workshop proposals are invited for the 2011 IEEE Congress on Evolutionary
Computation. Workshops should be relevant to some facet of the design or
application of evolutionary computation and related techniques. They are
expected to differ from regular (and special) sessions in providing a greater
opportunity for discussion and interaction among participants.
Workshops may take a number of different formats, including, but not limited
Submission and presentation of informal papers via talks or posters
Single- or multiple-presenter workshops that deliver information to
attendees, but are more interactive than standard tutorials
Please note that publication with CEC proceedings is not a possibility, due to
IEEE referree requirements and the tight CEC publication schedule. However,
workshop organizers are welcome to collect extended versions of papers for
special issues of journals or for books. Also please note that workshop
organizers are expected to attend CEC to run the workshops they have proposed.
A CEC 2011 workshop proposal should include the proposed workshop title, a
description of the content and structure of the workshop, a description of the
appeal of the workshop to CEC attendees and expected attendance, and
presenter/organizer biographies. Please also specify the ideal envisioned
length of your workshop, in two-hour units (e.g., two hours, half-day, full-day).
